Dr. Velaga is a highly accomplished and internationally recognized pharmaceutical professional and drug delivery and development specialist with over 20 years of academic and industrial experience in the areas of solid-state chemistry, solubilization technologies, particle engineering, and specialized dosage forms, including oral films and aerosol-based drug products. He is proven leader and versatile CEO with deep understanding of start-up biopharma operations, management, leadership, partnering and M&As.
Over the years, Dr. Velaga has built strong 505(b)(2) pipeline and successfully advanced the programs to the Clinic in multi-therapeutic areas including Cancer using various tools, strategies and operational models. Dr. Velaga’s former stints include AstraZeneca (Sweden), Boehringer Ingelheim (USA), Lulea University and Uppsala University (Sweden). Dr. Velaga has authored over 75 scholarly publications covering various aspects of pre-formulation, formulation development, innovative technologies in drug delivery and development.
